Women of Grace
The Women of Grace have been a noteworthy influence in the history of Grace. Starting in 1904, with the Dorcas Circle, the women have proven to be insightful, influential and persevering. Throughout the last more than 100 years, the Women of Grace have served in many capacities in the local church, as well as in the larger church organization.
During the past several years, in addition to their monthly Women's Bible Study, the Women of Grace have carried out special projects such as Visitor “Welcome Bags,” “Welcome Baskets or Gifts” for new members, collecting needed items for the SafeHaven women's shelter, Crowley House of Hope and others, "Goody Bags" for our Sunday School children and any other children attending our Christmas service, and participating in the Church Women United Fellowship of the Least Coin. Another popular activity has been “Ladies Night Out”.
The Women of Grace collect Boxtops for Education. Place your donations in the designated area in the Narthex, across from the kitchen. Donations for Crowley House of Hope can be brought to the church and placed in the container marked "Crowley House of Hope".
The Women of Grace are also part of the larger group called WELCA, Women of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America).
